What TabPilot does

TabPilot is a Chrome extension that lets an AI agent running on your own computer operate web pages inside a dedicated, named tab group in your Chrome. It only works together with a companion program that you install on the same computer.

Data we collect

None. TabPilot has no server. The developer does not receive, store, sell or share any of your data.

Data the extension handles

To carry out the tasks you give your local agent, TabPilot reads the content of pages in its own tab group (page text, structure, screenshots) and sends it only to the companion program on your computer through Chrome's native messaging. Nothing is sent to the internet by the extension itself. What your agent then does with that content is controlled by you and by the agent you choose to use.

TabPilot stores a small amount of local state in Chrome storage: which tab group belongs to which agent conversation, and when it was last used. It never reads or exports your passwords, and it does not access tabs outside its tab groups unless you or your agent explicitly hand one over.

Your control

You can watch every action, take over any tab, or remove the extension at chrome://extensions at any time. Removing it deletes its local state.
